Story

Date: Continues directly from issue 4
Places: Tempe, Arizona - Hope, Colorado

Having noticed the markings on the Hellhounds tooth, John and Hunter head back to the one person who might be able to help. Knocking on Gabe Fletchers door at 3 in the morning, he looks at the tooth for them and decides that they are probably co-ordinates. He remembers a map that he was given by an old hunter friend of his - a map of cemeteries and graveyards. According to the map, the co-ordinates point to The Four Corners, a legendary location in American mythology. It is an intersection of the borderlines of four different states - Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico - that may have supernatural properties.

Hunter and John arrive in Hope, Colorado and pull up at an antiques shop. They ask the owner about any nearby cemeteries and he tells them about a graveyard near to an abandoned inn. They head out towards the inn but John realises that the name of it, Fore Inn, could be a rearrangement of the word Inferno.

As they travel along the road towards the inn, the weather suddenly changes, with hail stones appearing where there was perfect weather just before. In the middle of the storm, John is horrified to see Dean and Sam standing in the road. Unable to stop in time, he hits them. He dashes from the car but finds only a couple of dead boars in the road. Confused, they continue the drive, but are soon stopped by a rockslide which has blocked the road. Continuing on foot, they cross a wooden bridge. Halfway across, the bridge breaks and Hunter falls through. He falls into the water below, and John hurries into the water to try and find his friend. Pulling him out, they make it to a cemetery that they need to pass through.

There are strange noises coming from the tombs, and the men see bodies hanging from a tree. Hellhounds appear and Hunter manages to scare them off with his rifle as he and John continue following the road. This time, the earth itself seemed to have moved in order to block their way. They climb up and around the rockface but finally make it out other side, where they see a sign for the inn.

As soon as they get there, another Hellhound appears. John shoots at the hound, believing it to have come from inside the inn. The hound walks over to Hunter, who reveals that it actually works for him...
