I miss conversations that didn't start with "this killer truck".

Special Children

Please note: Characters are listed by surname where known. If a character has only one name, he/she will be listed under that.

Until I can come up with a better name for this category, Special Children refers to those children, like Sam, who have some kind of special ability. These abilities were all once thought to be psychic in nature, but the appearance of Jake Talley, whose ability is physical rather than mental, has changed this theory.

It is also believed that there are several "generations" of special children. In Sam's case, we discovered that on the night of the fire, when he was six months old, the Demon fed some of his own blood to Sam. It can be assumed that the Demon did the same to each one of these children. Not all of the mothers were killed in a fire, however. It is likely that this only happened on the occasions when the Demon was interrupted while with the child.

Carey, Scott

Scott was seeing a psychiatrist, Dr. Waxler in whom he confided about his ability. He was killed by Gordon Walker and is buried in plot 486 at the Arbor Hill Cemetary.

Gallagher, Andrew

Year of birth was 1983. When Andrew discovers he can make people do whatever he wants them to just by talking to them, he diesn't use it to become rich or powerful - he uses it to have fun. He was adopted as a child and his birth mother was killed in the fire on the night of his six-month birthday. His birth mother, Holly Beckett, gave birth to twins - him and Ansem Weems. He ends up killing his brother to save Dean's life. Like Sam and Ava, Andy ends up in Cold Oak, fighting for his life. He has been training his mind to not only send thoughts to another person, but to also be able to send visual images - something he does to send Dean a clue to where they are. He is eventually killed by a demon controlled by Ava.

Year of birth was 1983. Lily is one of the people who is somehow transported to Cold Oak. She has a "death touch" - a single touch from her can stop a persons heart and she accidentally touched her girlfriend. She tries to leave Cold Oak but is stopped and killed by the Demon.

Year of birth was 1983. Sam is drawn towards the Miller family by his premonitions. Max, who developed his powers approximately six months before the Winchesters meet him, has a strong control of his ability - telekenisis. He isusing the ability to murder the people who abused him as a child. After killing his father and uncle, he turned on his step-mother, only to be stopped by Dean and Sam. Max turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.

Rosie

Year of birth was 2006. Baby Rosie, daughter of Monica, is described by her mother as being a good baby and never crying. Her mother claims that Rosie "just stares at everybody. Sometimes she looks at you and I swear it’s - it’s like she’s reading your mind." Sam and Dean prevented The Demon from killing Monica when it attacked Rosie on the night of her six-month birthday.

Talley, Jake

Appearance(s): All Hell Breaks Loose Part One, All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two
Category: Human / Special Children

Played By: Aldis Hodge

Year of birth was 1983. Jake Talley was serving in the US Army in Afghanistan when his abilities surfaced. A jeep rolled onto a soldier and he lifted it without a problem. He later bench-pressed 800 pounds. Jake's ability is the only one so far which does not seem to be psychic-based. In order to stay alive, he stabbed Sam in the back, killing him. He too had a vision of the Yellow-Eyed Demon and realised that he had been 'recruited' as the demon's soldier. With the threat of the demon killing his family, Jake took the Colt and opened a Devil's Gate. He was eventually shot and killed by Sam.

Weems, Ansem

Appearance(s): Simon Said
Category: Human / Special Children
Status: Deceased
Played By: Elias Toufexis

Year of birth was 1983. Given up for adoption by his birth mother, Ansem knew he was adopted and had a twin brother, Andrew Gallagher. He had been approched by The Demon who told him to wait before contacting Andrew. Like his twin, Ansem was able to control people's minds, but he had progressed further with his abilities than Andrew and could control people without having to speak. He was shot by his brother.

Wilson, Ava

Category: Human / Special Children
Status: Deceased
Played By: Katharine Isabelle

Year of birth was 1983. Ava was a secretary from Peoria and, when she met Sam Winchester, was 8 weeks away from getting married. Like Sam, she had dreams that came true. She dreamed of Scott Carey's death and then the ambush that Gordon set for Sam. She, like Sam and the other kids, was taken by the Demon to Cold Oak. She had been there for 5 months when Sam arrived and had already learned about the Demon. Her abilities had advanced to the stage where she could control demons - something she does to kill the other kids in order for her to survive. She was eventually killed by Jake Talley as she was about to set a demon on Sam.
